Only Register Managers can open and close register shifts. Register shifts cannot be opened or closed in BackOffice.

After the register gets updates, the Retail POS (S-Series) app for iOS will automatically load the default home screen, and the Retail POS (S-Series) app for Android will return to the register menu.
(Optional) Tap ‘Sign Out’ on the Main Menu (iOS) or register menu (Android) to let another user sign in.
The user signed into the register will be linked to all sales, returns, and other register actions performed while they are signed in.
‘Sign Out’ is only available when more than 1 employee is set up in BackOffice.
A Register Manager must close the register shift to end each business day in the Retail POS (S-Series) app. After a register shift is closed, cashiers will not be able to run transactions until the next shift is opened, and managers will be able to see if the cash drawer is over or under its expected amount.
