Setting up the Smart Terminal (WisePOS E) with Lightspeed Payments

The BBPOS Smart Terminal (WisePOS E) is quick and easy to set up with Lightspeed Payments. The terminal can either be set up via your Wi-Fi network or via an ethernet cable plugged into the supplied dock. In either case, the terminal will need to be on the same network as your Retail POS (S-Series) account.

Note: It’s important to use the terminal supplied to you by Lightspeed, as terminals obtained from a third party may not be correctly configured for your account and could present a security risk.

Connecting the terminal via Ethernet

  1. Plug one end of the ethernet cable into your router and the other end into the ethernet port on the dock.

Connecting the terminal via Wi-Fi

You must connect your terminal to a WPA-Personal- or WPA2-Personal-encrypted Wi-Fi network. Open Wi-Fi networks that are not password-protected or enterprise networks are not supported.
