    Charge the iCMP

The iCMP operates on battery power and needs to be charged to function. Before using the reader for the first time, it must be charged for a minimum of 3 hours (or 6 hours for a full charge).

    1. Plug the micro USB cable or dedicated wall charger into the iCMP's charging port.
    2. Plug the charger into a power outlet.
      • If using the dedicated wall charger, plug the charger directly into a power outlet.
      • If using the USB cable and charging brick, first plug the cable into the provided charging brick, then plug the charging brick into a power outlet. DO NOT use an iPad charger with the iCMP.
    3. If setting up the iCMP for the first time, allow it to charge for at least 3 hours.

It takes the device about 6 hours to reach 100% charge.

    4. Follow the steps below to pair the iCMP with the iPad.

    2. With the card stripe facing up, slide the card through the top slot on the reader.
    3. Wait for payment to be approved and continue closing the transaction as normal.

    1. In the Retail POS (S-Series) app, ring up a sale and tap 'Credit'.
    2. The customer prepares their Apple device for payment.

For help with this step, visit Apple Support.

    3. The customer holds their device within 1″ of the card reader when prompted in the Retail POS (S-Series) app.
    4. The customer waits for a vibration, checkmark, and beep on their device to confirm the payment.
    5. Wait for payment to be approved and continue closing the sale as normal.
