Viewing the Change Log

The Change Log provides a complete audit trail of key updates made in your Retail POS (S-Series) BackOffice. You can view event log entries to quickly identify who made a change, what was changed, where it happened, and when it occurred.

Change Log tracks:

  • Item cost and price changes, including discount-related updates
  • Inventory quantity adjustments (including inventory counts and bulk changes)
  • Item status changes (active/inactive)
  • Tax rule or tax status changes

Log details are useful when troubleshooting and help improve accuracy and accountability across the team.

Accessing the Change Log

  1. Navigate to the BackOffice.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click Change Log.

Viewing item change logs

The Change Log page displays a detailed list of tracked item events, including the subject of the change, type of change, previous and new state, source of the update, employee who updated, and the exact timestamp of when the change was initiated.

To view event logs:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Change Log.
  2. Optionally, enter details in the Item field or click the Change Type or other dropdowns in the table header to filter results.

  3. If the item has multiple logs, click the arrow next to the item name to expand and view the individual log details.

Currently, change logs cannot be exported.
