UPDATE (9/15/2016): This morning we released ShopKeep Register version 2.9.0 in the App Store, which solves the iOS compatibility issue discussed below. If you do not update your app to this latest version you may experience significant issues using iOS 10 with ShopKeep, so we strongly recommend updating your register(s) today. Click here to download the new version of ShopKeep.

Next Tuesday, September 13, Apple is planning to release the latest version of their operating system, iOS 10, to all iOS users. We are writing to inform you of a critical issue that we have discovered in the way that iOS 10 interacts with all versions of the ShopKeep app and certain credit card readers under certain conditions.

Due to the discovery of this issue, we are strongly recommending that you do not update your iPad running the ShopKeep app to iOS 10 until further notice. We are working directly with Apple to resolve this issue as quickly as possible and will be in touch as soon as it is safe to update to iOS 10. [See above: This issue has been resolved with the release of ShopKeep Register version 2.9.0.]

Please note that the current version of your ShopKeep app will continue to work normally on your current version of iOS, as this is an issue on iOS 10 only. If, for some reason, you do update to iOS 10 and encounter an issue with your credit card reader, please follow the easy instructions on this page to learn how to solve the issue.
