Know exactly when you’re running low on any item and share those notifications and others directly from your feed!
Properly managing stock levels of your most popular items is one of the most important things you can do as a small business owner. There are few moments worse than when you run out of an item and have to tell a customer that they can’t purchase what they’re looking for. Not only do you lose that sale, but you could lose future sales as well.
ShopKeep has long combatted this issue by offering the Reorder Report in BackOffice to help you stay on top of stock levels, but that required you to actively remember to run the report on a regular basis. With the latest release of Pocket, version 4.26.0, we’re doing the remembering for you!
As soon as an item is sold so that its quantity on hand dips below the reorder trigger, you’ll receive a push notification on your phone letting you know it’s time to order more. Prefer to check in and re-order everything all together at the end of the day? Your low stock alerts will also appear in the Notifications tab.
Speaking of the Notifications tab, we’ve also been adding tools there to help you take actions on each event listed in the feed. Specifically, you can now tap Share, Call, or Text below any notification in order to send the information over to anyone who you think needs to see it.
The Call and Text options allow you to directly contact whoever clocked in, adjusted the cash drawer, or closed a shift (assuming you have their phone number saved in BackOffice), while the Share option will open your device’s native share functionality if you’d like to use a different method of communication.
