New hires represent a focus on new markets and strategic alliances

NEW YORK, NY – October 7, 2013 – ShopKeep POS, the cloud-based point of sale system designed by a retailer for retailers, today announced it has expanded its executive team with two new hires. The new additions reflect a focus on product development as the business prepares to move into new markets in 2014, as well as ShopKeep’s commitment to working with partners to bring choice and value-added services to merchants.

“2014 promises to be an exciting year for us as we expand our product offering for bars and restaurants,” said Jason Richelson, Founder and CEO, ShopKeep POS. “These are more complex businesses and a natural next step as we continue to grow. We plan on several new product releases over the coming months to present a compelling offering, which will be built on the same foundations of excellent customer service, ease of use and the flexibility to choose what’s best for your business,” said Mr. Richelson.

“This time last year we had less than 3,000 customers. Today we’re proud to serve almost 8,000 brick and mortar retailers across the U.S. and Canada. We are looking forward to working with our partners to accelerate that growth and add new services for our customers,” he said.
