Born out of frustration with the traditional cash register business, ShopKeep was designed by a retailer with a noble aim:
..to rescue independent business owners from the nightmare of archaic POS (a.k.a. Pieces Of S**t), and replace it with something beautiful, simple and affordable. It turned out that by doing this, we were giving our fellow merchants a fighting chance against the big guys. So we kept doing it.

We’re doing this by providing the tools and support for merchants to make smarter business decisions, so they can reclaim time, be more profitable and keep their passion alive. And hey, if we can defend the independent spirit of Main Street from the big guys in the process, then that is a very welcome bonus.
